candy to the children as they come by in
their costumes. Spaces are limited.
All trunks will need to be here by 5:00pm. (This is so you have time to set up.)

Thanksgiving is a time to thank God for His many blessings. The "Thanksgiving Tree" at Mater Dolorosa and St. Dominic will be assembled in the back of Church.
Please take a leaf or two and bring the specified item or monetary donation before the November 22nd deadline.

The Angel Wish Tree will be in the back of St. Helena Church. Please pull a red tag and purchase the gift listed on the back of the tag, with the original tag securely attached to the outside of the gift. Return the gift to the Church or Church Office by November 28th.
Please purchase only one gift per tag. If you have any questions, please call 985-517-4811. Please wrap gifts or place gifts in gift bags.

Faith in Action: Our Eighth-Grade Retreat
This week was a tremendous blessing as I had the privilege of accompanying our eighth-grade students to Our Lady of Hope Retreat Center. It was beautiful to watch them step away from their normal routine and spend a day growing together in friendship and, most importantly, in faith.
Throughout the day, our students visited the Crucified Christ, adored Jesus in the Eucharist in the Marian Chapel, prayerfully walked the life-size Stations of the Cross, and explored the Totus Tuus Garden while learning about documented apparitions of Our Lady throughout the world. At the heart of the retreat was celebrating Holy Mass with Fr. Reuben. Afterward, students had time to journal, reflect, and participate in an open question-and-answer session with Father.
Watching our students pray, ask meaningful questions, and experience their faith so personally was a powerful reminder of the unique blessing of Catholic education. We can give our children opportunities not only to learn about their faith, but to encounter Christ and grow in relationship with Him.
We are grateful to everyone who helps make these opportunities possible. One important way to support our school is through our Annual Steak Dinner & Dance on Saturday, October 24. We invite our parish and community to join us for “Louisiana Saturday Night” as we celebrate together and support the continued work of Mater Dolorosa Catholic School.
Please continue to pray for our students as they grow in faith, friendship, and their understanding of who God is calling them to become.
